Step Into Swim Swim Lesson Scholarships!

Thanks to grant funding from Step Into Swim, the Greater Scranton YMCA will be offering a four-week swim lesson session at a reduced cost to members and non-members! This four-week session will feature two swim lessons a week with a total of eight lessons. 

The swim session will begin the week of June 23, 2025. Members and non-members may fill out this scholarship form. For those who qualify, awards will be given on a first come, first served basis with priority given based on household income. Each session can accommodate 10 swimmers.  

Through this grant, our goal is to reach the children who otherwise may not be able to participate in swim lessons due to cost. Grant funding will provide our YMCA with the capacity to offer approximately 60 children with swim lesson scholarship funding. Participating families will receive a 75 percent subsidy and will be responsible to pay only $32 of the $128 swim lesson fee for non-YMCA members. The fee for Greater Scranton YMCA members fee will be $16.

To apply, interested applicants must complete a Google Form. The form will close after lessons are filled! The form opens on May 28th, 2025!
